Iqbal has endeavored to trace the logical continuity of Persian thought, in the language of modern philosophy and he has discussed the subject of Sufism in a more scientific manner, and has attempted to bring out the intellectual conditions which necessitated such a phenomenon. Muhammad Iqbal was a poet and philosopher, and without any hint of doubt, one of the most crucial figures in the history of South Asia.
